What are the OS services that the SQL Server installation adds?

  • MS SQL SERVER SERVICE
  • SQL AGENT SERVICE
  • DTC (Distribution transac co-ordinator)

Are you sure..SQL server installation will never add DTC.. But in case of 2005 it creates SQL full text services..

SQL Server installation will add DTC. And SQL full text service is optional and will not be installed by default. During installation, if you choose to install Full text search, then the service will be installed.
